Every Saturday morning around the world, Seventh-day Adventists gather together in community to worship Jesus through music, prayer and Bible teachings.

At Cotts Church our day starts with a chat and hot drink before a casual Bible Study shortly after 10am where participation and discussion is welcomed. For children, Sabbath School begins at 10.30am with songs, stories, crafts and fun activities.

Our main worship program begins at 11.30am. Singing, prayer and a sermon are offered every week but we also regularly provide a kids segment with interactive songs and an engaging story that even the adults will enjoy.

Every Saturday we then wind down following the worship program by building friendships and meeting guests over a simple but delicious community lunch in our church hall/lounge at about 12.30pm. Local community and visiting guests are warmly welcomed to join us for lunch, whether you attended the worship program or not.

Saturdays at Cotts Church are for everyone and we’d love you to join us!

FAQ

When are worship services held?

Our main worship program is every Sabbath (Saturday) morning at 1130am.

Do I need a Bible?

No. You don’t have to bring anything — just yourself. If you would like a Bible, you can borrow or we can give you one when you get here. You can also download a free Bible app to your smartphone.

Should I go if I don’t know anyone?

Our church is a place where all people are welcome, whether you’re younger or older, a lifelong Christian or a spiritual seeker. Guests are warmly welcomed and we would love to meet you! If you feel nervous, bring a friend or just send us a message.

Will I be asked to give money?

Every week we offer our regular attenders the opportunity to experience the value of giving and supporting a variety of causes. It’s not required or expected that you give a donation, and if you are a guest we are most of all grateful you joined us.

Will I be asked to speak publicly or pray?

If you participate in a small group Bible study, you’ll probably be asked to introduce yourself but only need to contribute to the discussion as you feel comfortable. It’s not typical for a first-time guest to be singled out in the main worship program. Prayer is an important part of worship, and you are welcome to join in, but no one will ever force you to pray.

Do you provide a community lunch?

Yes, following the main worship program at about 1230pm every Saturday we provide a lunch, anyone is welcome.

Who do I speak to if I have any questions?

Ask if you can speak to one of the leadership team — the pastor or one of the elders. Or just start with someone who looks friendly!
